MIdway Mill is Acquired

Founded by brothers Bud and Bert Vaagen

Started operation at the Colville Mill location

The Company converted to the first small log sawmill in Colville with HewSaw single pass machine, and made plant wide adjustments to handle small logs including the addition of a 120 ft log crane.

The addition of a highspeed planer at Colville with machine grading technology from Metriguard and FinScan.

The Midway Mill in British Columbia is acquired and being converted into a Vaagen/HewSaw small log mill.
